We're a small software engineering business building and improving software for organisations that need things to work properly — and keep working after launch.

CorFive is a small, independent software engineering business based in Cobh, County Cork.

We work directly with the people who need the software, whether that's building something new, replacing an older system or helping make sense of an existing one.

Being small means we can keep things straightforward. There aren't layers of account management between you and the people doing the work. We can have a conversation, understand the problem and get on with solving it.

We also know that good software isn't just about getting something launched. Someone has to use it, maintain it, change it and understand it afterwards. That's something we take seriously.

What CorFive Is and Isn't

There are plenty of different kinds of technology companies. We keep our focus fairly simple: understanding technical problems and building sensible solutions.

  • Practical problem solvers We focus on what needs to work rather than adding complexity for its own sake.
  • Comfortable with existing systems Not every project starts with a blank sheet of paper, and that's fine with us.

We aren't

  • A traditional marketing agency Our focus is the software behind an organisation, rather than campaigns and advertising.
  • A design-only studio We care about how things look, but the system underneath matters just as much.
  • An AI consultancy for the sake of AI We'll use AI where it solves a real problem, but we don't start with the technology.
  • An outsourcing provider We work with clients to solve problems rather than simply supplying developer hours.
  • A one-size-fits-all software shop We start by understanding the problem and choose the approach that fits it.

A straightforward way of working.

You don't need to arrive with a perfectly written technical specification. Usually, there's a problem that needs solving, and figuring out the right solution is part of the work.

We take time to understand how things work today before deciding what needs to change.

Whether we're starting from scratch or inheriting an existing system, we want the next person to be able to understand what we've built.

CorFive is based in Cobh, County Cork. We work with organisations remotely as well as locally, so the project doesn't need to be down the road for us to work well together.
